Toshiba is making what many will argue is the best netbook available today. The Toshiba NB205 netbook has one of the best keyboard and battery sipping designs on the market.

The Toshiba netbook boasts an Intel Atom processor N280/1.66GHz, with 512KB L2 Cache, and a 533MHz FSB/Mobile Intel 945GSE Express Chipset, a 10.1" diagonal widescreen LCD (1024 x 600), 1GB memory (upgradable to 2GB), and a 160GB hard drive.  It is lightweight and compact for easy portability weighing less than 3 lb.

It also comes with the prerequisite netbook communication basics, wireless-G connectivity, 3 USB v2.0 ports, Bluetooth 2.1, 10/100 Ethernet and a built-in webcam (0.3MP) with microphone.

What makes the Toshiba NB205 one of the best netbooks available is its rechargeable lithium-ion battery which provides up to 9 hours of battery life. Actual user testimony confirms that this netbook will last 9+ hours in battery sipping mode. The 6 cell battery does protrude out the back of the netbook, but it is easy to find cases for this model.

Users also rave about its keyboard and solid construction. The Toshiba netbook may be the "easiest to type on" netbook available. Some users actually prefer it to their full size laptop computer keyboard.

The only negative that we are aware of is the sound produced by the single speaker. Headphones remedy this.

The Toshiba NB205 Netbook is available in black onyx, posh pink, sable brown, and royal blue colors. Its build quality is excellent. This netbook comes with Windows XP but runs the Windows 7 operating system just fine.
